Buda Castle

The Buda Castle is one of the main cultural and touristic centers of Budapest. As part of the Buda Castle District, it has been part of Budapest’s World Heritage Sites since 1987. The huge building complex, formerly a royal residence, now houses two museums and the country’s number one library.

The castle is 2.8 km away from our hostel on foot and 2.9 by car. It can be reached by public transport in 21 minutes by bus number 5/ 178 (to Szarvas tér stop).
